Climate in Latvia
Famous poet, Ojārs Vācietis, once described Latvia's climate as " both end of the year being white and the middle being green." In Latvia, tourists are able to enjoy all of the four seasons due to it's specific geographic location. Since it is positioned right by the Baltic Sea, tourists can enjoy humid, mild climates which allows for an enjoyable vacation. Some describe Latvia as paradise due to its quiet, peaceful environment. There are no volcanoes, floods, droughts, tornados, harsh winters or burning heat. In summer, Latvia has an average temperature of 35 degrees C while in winter, has an average of -6 degrees C.
